How can I connect my Osmo Action to Sync for DJI Osmo app?
1. Power on the camera using the Disp/Power button on top of the camera or make sure that the camera does not timeout.
2. Swipe down on the screen to enter the menu and tap settings
3. Scroll down to Wireless connection then Wireless info
4. On your mobile phone open your Wifi settings and select the Osmo Action and enter the password displayed on Osmo’s screen
5. If connection is succesfull your device will appear on top of second tab

How can I connect my aircraft or Osmo using Android?
Connect usign RC:
1. Double check no DJI-based apps (also DJI GO 4 and other third party DJI drone apps) are running in the background. If there are any, force kill them
2. If you have another app (such as DJI GO 4) set as the default for the remote controller USB connection, you will need to clear the defaults for that app in your mobile device (Settings - Apps - DJI GO 4 (or other app name) - Clear Defaults). Some devices automatically set the app you start as default, so this step may have to be done every time you want to switch app (for example from DJI GO to Sync for DJI and vice versa)
3. Start your aircraft and remote controller
4. Plug the remote controller into the mobile device. For Mavic drones, you can use either the bottom or side USB ports, however make sure to use only one port at once (if 2 cables are plugged in the remote controller, Sync for DJI won't be able to connect)
5. You will see a popup asking which app to start, select Sync for DJI and tap on 'Just Once' in the popup to initiate connection.
Possible extra steps:
6. Restart RC and repeat steps if initiation connection was unsuccessful.
7. Try to change cable to original and repeat steps if initiation connection was unsuccessful.
Connect using Wi-Fi:
1. Switch your aircraft to Wi-Fi mode then turn ON your Phantom 3, Mavic Pro, Mavic Air, Spark, Inspire or Osmo.
2. Open Wi-Fi settings on your iOS or Android smartphone. Find your device and tap to connect.
3. If connection is successful open the app and wait for connection. Your device model will appear on the top of the screen.
Can’t open sphere, panorama, RAW."
Sync for DJI doesn’t support such media formats as panorama or sphere. As for RAW files you can download it to your Phone and then open with apps that support such RAW.

How can I connect my aircraft or Osmo using iOS?
You can connect your DJI device via RC or Wi-Fi.
Connect via RC:
1. Turn ON your Phantom 2/3/4, Mavic, Spark, Inspire.
2. Turn ON Remote controller and pay attention to RC that is connected with aircraft.
3. Open Sync for DJI app and wait for connection. Your device model will appear on the top of the screen.
Connect via Wi-Fi:
1. Switch your aircraft to Wi-Fi mode then turn ON your Phantom 2/3/4, Mavic, Spark, Inspire or Osmo.
2. Open Wi-Fi settings on your iOS or Android smartphone. Find your device and tap to connect.
3. If connection is successful open the app and wait for connection. Your device model will appear on the top of the screen.
Why I can not find my DJI device after it was connected to my mobile device?
Make sure that your drone is turned on. After the DJI device has been connected to the remote controller, power on the aircraft: press and hold the Intelligent Flight Battery Switch for few seconds. When the aircraft makes a beeping sound, connect the aircraft to DJI GO 4. Or you can search the DJI device Wi-Fi in your mobile device if it is in Wi-Fi mode.
What is Trial period?
The app has 5-day trial period, which will unlock PRO features for all users for free:
- Export 4K, 2,7K video
- Export RAW (DNG) photos
- No watermark on exported media
- Custom Watermark for exported media
- And more features that you can find in the app.
Connect your aircraft and download the best resolution right on your phone. To start your free trial, simply connect your drone and click on Start Free Trial button. You won’t be charged during your free trial. If you choose to continue enjoying [PRO] Sync for DJI after your trial ends or during trial period, you can do it by tapping on Be a Pro on Main Menu.

How to restore connection?
To restore connection: disconnect and connect again your DJI device via RC or Wi-Fi. In case if your drone connected via RC - you can unplug and plug in the RC cable. Restart your DJI device and repeat the steps above if you have trouble connecting it.
All paused tasks will resume automatically without any efforts from your side.
Is it FREE?
Sync for DJI is completely free for download and use with any number of DJI devices. However, PRO mode allows you to remove watermark from high resolution images and videos. Check out all PRO benefits here.
How is it different from DJI Mimo?
Sync for DJI Osmo - the app that helps you download media from your Osmo Pocket or Osmo Action with a few short steps: Choose → Download → Export. Also you can share the media instantly from connected device. Also Sync for DJI Osmo support 4K, Trim before download and create Hyperlapse (from Timed Shots) features.
Shall I use original Lightining cable?
Majority of ‘original’ Lightning cables are mass-manufactured in anonymous factories overseas, there isn’t as much (or possibly any) quality control as those manufactured by Apple or certified third-party companies.
It means that such cables can have issues within connection with your RC and iPhone. Use original Apple Lightining cables.
